Talking about: Local Fabric Shops

My city has some fabric shops. Not many, but enough for making my wallet exhausted :D My favorite one is Mondial Tissus because it has so many options. But, they don't have USA or Japanese designer fabrics like Miller, Henry, Kokka, etc. So, other options are smaller shops like Au Fil d'Emma and Bleu de Toiles. They have designer fabrics.

I just visited Bleu de Toiles today and I am so happy *of course*. The owner was very nice and some fabrics were on sale! I finally could touch some France Duval Stalla & Frou Frou. And I saw some collection of Fleur de Soleil and Kokka (Echino).

I also had an opportunity to touch Odds & Ends collection by Cosmo Cricket for Moda. Already falling in love with them when I saw them online. Pretty, right? Soft, simple, modest but pretty. Hmm...

I hope Bleu de Toiles is always running well because I want to see that shop growing (with more pretty fabrics ;D).

PS. Other local fabric shops are Carefil, Tissus Jaurès and Eurodif (for deco).

Talking about: Fabrics - France Duval Stalla

I have never seen or touched France Duval Stalla fabrics. Curious? Of course. Unfortunately I haven't bought any since their prints and colors are so classic (for me). However, the pink fuchsia one seems interesting...

Enough talking, go here to see more of the fabrics: France Duval Stalla

Talking about: Fabrics - Liberty of London

I have 10 minutes to write, so here what I want to share. Fabrics. I do not have a complete knowledge and experience about fabrics but I know a little bit about famous fabrics in France.

Started from: Liberty of London.

This fabric brand is very famous in here, and I think it's famous in Japan as well. Its price is quite high but I believe the quality is superior. I do not have a chance to buy any piece of it but I have one Liberty bias tape for making a bracelet (Liberty bracelet). It's very soft and it feels so nice.

These are some of Liberty fabrics from this online shop.

By looking at those prints, I believe some people will fall in love. I do.

Next: France Duval Stalla, Tilda, Stof...

Talking About: French Sewing Patterns

As promised, let's talk about some french sewing patterns... for children.

C'est Dimanche

Their designs are classic but they have some unique accents that make them different especially in the collars or near the collars.

I love these patterns:

Not only Oliver + S and Japanese Sewing fans that have special blogs, C'est Dimanche is the same! See here: http://cestdimanchefans.canalblog.com/

At this moment, I am waiting for Sydney pattern from someone that sells it at La Fibre Creative. Seven euros plus fdp. Not bad. I have been considering to have one coat pattern for my girl and I think Sydney is so cute. Classic, but cute.

Coupé Couzu

For me, Coupe Couzu's design is also classic. But simpler than C'est Dimanche. Caperon Pas Rouge is interesting. But I have one similar cape from Oliver+S's book that I haven't tried.

Citronille

The design is, again, classic but sweet. I love to see the website of Citronille. It looks original. The pattern that I like very much is Albertine. I don't know why. I just like it since a long time ago. But I never have it :( I have one Citronille pattern, Hortense, in the category of Nuit. I bought it last year. And yes, I have never tried it yet. I was a little bit scared with the instructions... in french >_<

Her Little World

The first time I saw this pattern packaging in an expo, I was impressed. Lovely and sweet, full of imagination and fantasy. Perhaps that was because I saw their patterns for dresses :D But one that I love is the Médieval dress pattern. Simple and down to earth.

Ok, that's all... I think other brands are not too interesting for me. Those four are my fantastic four for children french sewing patterns :)

Ciao!
