Passport Organizer for a Friend

My friend wanted an organizer that could fit 4 passports (since her travel will be with her husband and her son - with double passports). She also wanted the organizer to be as small as possible. So, I made this for her. She will use it next week, so it was a quite urgent need for her.

Basically, this organizer is the same with the one I made last year (Travel wallet). I just modified a little bit at the interfacings since I did not use the canvas fabric for the exterior.

All fabrics are using medium weight cotton (the exterior is Vera Bradley design bought at Lemonz CraftProjects, and the interior + pockets are solid cotton from Eurodif store). Interfacing used: Vlieseline H630 and double H250.

Ready to go for the New Mexico trip! Bon voyage, mon amie...!

Japanese Sewing Books: My Wishlist

I just want to keep this well written in order not to forget. Memory problem T_T

I remember I wanted Mademoiselle book. But then I tried to hold myself because I just bought two others. After that, I wanted one Japanese sewing book for myself (women size). I read one review at Japanese Sewing Books blog and it looked interesting. Still, I needed to compare with others.

As usual, the process of comparing those books was taking so long because of many reasons. Until today, I spent some time again to check, re-check, etc.

Et voilà! My wishlist...

(26.03.2013: Already in my bookshelf)

My birthday will be in July. Note that.

:D

Gardening 2013, Let's start it!

Thinking about buying 2 new pots with the diameter of 30 cm. Tapi nanti dulu deh... Harusnya tahun ini ngga ngeluarin dana utk tools and equipments.

Yuk, mulai lagi berkebun...!

Small Messenger Bag

I started this project a week before February school holidays and then it was stopped in the middle because I couldn't find the strap adjuster that I needed. So I ordered online thru Etsy. The strap adjuster was arrived around Monday (four days ago). And finally I could finish this bag. It's so cute!

Now I have to make the bigger one for the bigger daughter :D

Pattern from the book of Oliver + S, Little Things to Sew.

Another Simple Zippered Pouch

Berangkat ke mertua hanya membawa 4 pieces kain siap dijahit & zipper 30 cm. Mesin jahit, benang, gunting, dll pinjam sama bumer. Sekejab selesai... Langsung serah terima dengan kakak ipar. Done. Ngga hutang janji. Kata kakak ipar, "Ngga masalah terlambat ngasih daripada ngga jadi ngasih sama sekali". Ihihik... Noted!

PS.

Another Michelle's Dumpling

Harusnya ini buat si sulung, tapi seperti biasa, si bungsu langsung nge-tag :( Sebelum dia ambil, saya harus foto dulu... :D

Lumayan nih kalau ada sisa2 kain dari project bikin baju or tas. Dapet lah satu dumpling... Saya belum buat yang The Harder One. Next time akan coba buat...

One euro fabrics

Last Sunday we went to another Bourse de Couturière in Saint Jean le Blanc. I saw some interesting fabrics but I didn't really need them. I focused my eyes on sewing threads. Nope, I couldn't find any.

But my little one wanted two pieces of fabrics, small cuts, one of them must be a fabric scrap. The lady put 0.50€ each for the price. So I paid 1€ for all.

Yesterday I worked on those fabrics. I made a backpack to carry my daughter's bunny doll. It's also possible to use it as the bunny's sleeping bag :) My lil one seemed so happy. This morning she carried her bunny to school with that backpack-carrier.

And today, I used the fabric scraps for making a zippered pouch following the free tutorial from Michelle Pattern (the dumplings one). It was so fun... I think I will make another one.

Goji Berry Tea

I got this recipe from Babble Food and I directly fell in love... It was 5 a.m in the morning when I woke up, baked a cake and opened my twitter. Then I saw one tweet from Babble Food sharing about Goji Berry Tea! I had some goji berry in my kitchen placard, and also GoalPara green tea, honey (not maple syrup) and lime (not lemon). So I made one for me. Wonderful...! I introduced that tea to my husband, he loved it too. He said I had to make it in his parents' house (for them). I will!

Now we have another option in serving the goji berry... Yum-yum...
